BENEWAH COUNTY EMS DISTRICT MISSION STATEMENT :

THE BENEWAH COUNTY EMS DISTRICT STRIVES TO PROVIDE SAFE, EMPATHETIC, PROFESSIONAL, AND QUALITY PRE-HOSPITAL CARE THE COMMUNITIES IT SERVES.

The Benewah County EMS District is a volunteer based ambulance service that provides 9-1-1 emergency care, critical care, and interfacility transports 24/7/365.

The Benewah County EMS District, formally known as the St. Maries Ambulance, is an Advanced EMT agency with a continuously growing crew of 17 volunteers.

Our crew is mixed between different levels of licenses - Drivers, EMT-B, EMT-AOM, and AEMT.

The Benewah County EMS District responded to approximately 700 requests for service in the year 2021.

St. Maries is a small town with a population of around 3,000. Covering the entire East side of Benewah County, from the Montana border in Shoshone County to the edge of Latah County, the Benewah County EMS has a response area larger than most with the help of our surrounding agencies.

Covering these brings the coverage area population over 10,000.
